Lions Den 43 – Math for the Medieval Mind

Long before Newton and Leibniz published their works on calculus, people were utilizing those same theories to calculate what we now know of as integrals and derivatives. From ancient Babylon to the Islamic golden age, we will look at the usage of calculus through time. Don’t worry though, although this is about calculus you don’t have to know anything about math to understand and enjoy the sheer amazingness of these mathematical feats.
