Lions War (Work Week)

Site opens on July 24th for the traditional “work week” including gate sign in, for event setup and war site improvements under the guidance of the usual crew leads.

All persons arriving to site from July 24th onwards to July 30th evening will be expected to volunteer for site crews. Tasks will be distributed to these willing volunteers at the work meetings each morning at 9 am.

Lions War planned activities will begin on Friday, July 31st, lasting until teardown on Monday August 3rd when we all pack up to head home and leave a clean and tidy event site behind for another year.

A schedule will be posted when it has been developed, but will certainly include the Baronial combat archery championship, WAR!, target archery, roving and tavern rapier fighting, classes, the Baronesses’ Walkdown, and perhaps equestrian activities (pending insurance) or un-mounted “horseback”-style archery, tug of war, spear-related activities, and tavern activities.
